Five Star Fiji

"I don't think this is what this trip is really going to be like..." That was the question we were left with after our first week in Fiji for many reasons, but top of that list was the food. We were hesitant when we were first booking the hostel stays before departing because they all came with a compulsory meal plan. We were both thinking there's no way this is worth it, I'm sure we could just bring some snacks and groceries for much cheaper and be better off. Wow were we wrong...not just the fact the islands were so far removed from anything nevermind a grocery store, but did we get every penny's worth and then some. Buffet breakfast, gourmet sandwiches for lunch, and pre-fix menu's for dinner? The daily peanut butter sandwiches since then haven't quite lived up to the hype.
