Hi! We’re Zorina and Brendan aka An Idiot and aBroad.  We lived across the hall from each other in college, became best friends..and then started dating shortly after.

 

After graduating we moved to different cities to focus on our careers and committed to long-distance for a while.  We both had the dream of travelling the world and after a few years of working and saving up money we were determined to make that dream a reality.

 

Our goal was to see as much of the world as we could in a year..and on a strict budget.  With the blessing from our friends and family, we booked a one-way ticket to Fiji and decided to begin our year long adventure at a place we had only experienced through a water-bottle ad. 

 

We got excited to learn as much as we could about each place we visited and wanted to share what we were doing with not only friends and family, but like-minded travellers who wanted insight on how to take advantage of their adventures. 

 

With our backgrounds in environmental sustainability and public relations, we decided to create stories that revealed what was unique and special about a place, its people and its culture.

 

We created An Idiot and aBroad to share our stories, photography and videography with the goal to connect our readers with the world around them.

 

We hope that An Idiot and aBroad provides people with the information they need to explore new places and take advantage of travelling.  Going around the world was the best decision we ever made-and we have continued to discover new places together.
